Meet Hannah – our new Front of House Host. Here, we asked Hannah a few questions about herself and the new job.
Hi Hannah, what did you do before you joined us?
I worked as a Senior Assistant Manager at McDonald’s for six years in 3 different stores. I learnt a lot about customer service, health & safety and training and development.
What appealed to you about this job?
I am very people orientated – I like the customer facing aspect of this role.
What is your favourite thing about working at Engine Shed so far?
I really like the team and, despite only being here for a month, I feel part of the team. I also like the building; it is simply different to anything I have ever been in before. You can be in an original part of the building, which is Grade 1 listed, and then walk down the corridor and be in a modern space, like the Members‘ Lounge.
And what is your favourite space in Engine Shed?
The Clock Tower Room. It’s one of our meeting rooms with a little room at the back to serve food in to separate it from the meeting. You aren’t distracted by the ongoings of outside as the window are higher up, and the clock – well it wouldn’t be the Clock Tower Room without one.
Finally, what do you like about living and working in Bristol?
I love living and working in Bristol. I like the accessibility of Bristol and that it has something for everyone. My favourite places include the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the Downs; I am lucky enough to have these literally on my doorstep.
