Engine Shed is thrilled to welcome Bristol City Leap as the newest addition to its Members’ Lounge.
Bristol City Leap is a world first, game-changing approach towards decarbonisation at city-scale, tackling the climate emergency.
The twenty-year joint venture between Bristol City Council, Ameresco and Vattenfall Heat UK will enable the delivery of over £1 billion of investment into Bristol’s energy system, such as wind energy, solar energy and low-carbon heat networks, as well as other energy efficiency measures and smart energy systems.
Lounge membership at Engine Shed will enable Bristol City Leap to connect with innovative partners through opportunities to deliver talks and workshops. The Bristol City Leap team will also use the Members’ Lounge to meet with clients, alongside accessing discounted rates for hire of Engine Shed’s meeting rooms and events spaces.
The support of members like Bristol City Leap enables Engine Shed to continue to invest in projects which drive inclusive and sustainable economic growth for the region and to ensure the innovation hub remains accessible and affordable for a diverse range of users.
James Sterling, Communications and Engagement Manager for Bristol City Leap said:
“Strong relationships are key to Bristol’s success in reaching carbon neutrality by 2030. Engine Shed was a natural choice to work with as it shares our vision for creating inclusive, green growth through our own commitment to deliver thousands of jobs and apprenticeships for Bristol in support of a just transition.
“Bristol City Leap can deliver so much for the people of Bristol. If you’re a community organisation with an idea, a business that needs support with carbon reduction or an organisation that can work with us to deliver for Bristol, please get in touch.”
Emilie Harryman, Partnerships Manager Engine Shed said:
“We are delighted to welcome Bristol City Leap into our community of professionals benefitting from our Members’ Lounge. Tackling the climate emergency requires inclusive action across the city and Engine Shed is delighted to support the Bristol City Leap Partnership to bring public and private sectors together to deliver support.”
