STE[A]M Walking tours with Unit DX and Ultrahaptics

As part of our Diverse Workforce for the Future project, we host Year 5 and 6 school pupils on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) day tours.

Working in partnership with our neighbours Unit DX and Ultrahaptics, school are invited to take part in a free STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) focused day out in the ‘Bristol Temple Quarter’. The day offers a chance to take part in hands-on science activities, visit inspiring workspaces and meet STE[A]M entrepreneurs.

Engine Shed is home to over 80 high tech businesses that are growing fast and doing lots of exciting things which may spark ideas for future careers to your pupils.

Please note: This free, whole school day activity is currently focused on year 5 and 6 pupils. We are able to host one group of 30 children a month.

The project has been running up until March 2019. We are currently look for lab space to continue to run the science element of this activity. If you know of any nearby, please get in touch with Lorraine.
