As part of our Diverse Workforce for the Future project, we hosted Year 5 and 6 school pupils on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) day tours.
Working in partnership with our neighbours Unit DX and Ultrahaptics, schools were invited to take part in a free STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) focused day out in the ‘Bristol Temple Quarter’. The day offered a chance to take part in hands-on science activities, visit inspiring workspaces and meet STE[A]M entrepreneurs.
Engine Shed is home to over 80 high tech businesses that are growing fast and doing lots of exciting things which may spark ideas for future careers to your pupils.
This free, whole school day activity was focused on year 5 and 6 pupils. We were able to host one group of 30 children a month.
The project ran from January 2018 until March 2019.
This is part of our Diverse Workforce for The Future programme.
CURRENT STATUS (Dec’19): New Tech Tours launched in partnership with BJSS and Ultraleap starting in January 2020.
