On Wednesday 25th April Engine Shed will host ‘The Effective Investor’ workshop in partnership with UKBAA and Bristol Angel Hub. Designed to both bring the angel investment community together and to welcome budding investors, this workshop will combine top tips, with an opportunity to ask questions and learn about relevant opportunities in the region.
The workshop will provide attendees with a thorough understanding of the investment landscape and how to navigate it, guidance on what to look for when investing in a business, and the relevant strategies to help you develop your investment portfolio. New angel investors will be introduced to the early stage investment space, and will learn the importance of investing in small businesses.
To be an effective angel, it is key to understand the foundation of investing in a truly scalable business and what it takes to help guide and support a new business beyond just providing capital resources. Business angels not only provide financial support to scale, they also act as a knowledge resource equipped with industry experience for successful growth.
‘The Effective Investor’ will cover the major aspects of being an angel investor, and the key do’s and don’ts of angel investing, including using your skills to help young businesses grow, what to look for in a deal, and key tactics for due diligence and paths to success in the ecosystem.
