Engine Shed welcomes Sandwi as our new caterers

We are delighted to welcome Sandwi as our new caterers at Engine Shed.

Members and visitors to Engine Shed can enjoy the new menu in the Members’ Lounge café from 8am – 5.30pm weekdays, and when ordering catering with meeting room or event hire.  Sandwi have also taken over Café Gusto on the corner of Temple Way.

Gal Almoznino, Founder of Sandwi, established the award-winning Bristol company seven years ago, originally with a bakery in St Phillips, and then expanding to corporate catering and more recently a fleet of seven vans delivering to workplaces.

The food is influenced by Gal’s upbringing with specialisms including Middle Eastern breads, mezzes, serrano hams and shakshuka.

Food is sourced, where possible, within a 5-mile radius, with bread from Bristol Loaf, vegetables from Arthur David, meat from local butchers, and eco-friendly packaging from Planglow.

The café serves a choice of two coffees – Sandwi house and Clifton Coffee E1 Project – and a selection of seasonal sandwiches, flatbreads and salads. New for winter are hotpots, including seitan and orzo pasta and chilli con carne with mashed potato.

Engine Shed residents get a 10% discount on display of their card.

Gal says “I am very excited about working with Engine Shed. I am looking to build a community with the food we offer and welcome any feedback and ideas to help me do this.”

If you would like to feedback on the new catering, please email feedback@engine-shed.co.uk.
