- The space has previously been occupied by Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator, who have scaled up with Engine Shed’s support
- Previous occupants include Just Eat, Somo Global, and TechSpark
- Engine Shed is looking for tenants who are able to contribute value to the community
Engine Shed is seeking new occupiers for its 600sqft Arrivals Lounge office, following the successful departure of Oracle Startup Cloud Accelerator.
The space, which is located directly off Engine Shed’s Members’ Lounge, is available from 7thFebruary 2019 on competitive and flexible terms. It is approximately 600sqft, currently with 20 desk spaces.
In 2017, Oracle selected Engine Shed as the sole UK location for their global support programme on the back of Bristol’s reputation as a global tech hub. In a worldwide operational change, the US tech giant has rebranded its accelerator to become the Oracle Global Startup Ecosystem. During their tenancy in the Arrivals Lounge, Engine Shed has supported Oracle, offering a great environment to test their model, which has resulted in this scale up.
Oracle’s outgrowing of its Engine Shed office is representative of the kind of support Engine Shed offers to all types of organisations and projects in its network. Previous tenants of the Arrivals Lounge include TechSPARK, Somo Global, and Just Eat who used it as their Bristol launch pad in 2014, before launching their own Bristol hub.
Now, Engine Shed is seeking a new occupier that will benefit from the environment and can bring value to Engine Shed’s community and its vision of growing an economy that is inclusive, sustainable, beneficial to all.
Karen Drake, Engine Shed Operations Director, said:
