Geovation and Engine Shed are partnering to host a lunchtime learn event on Tuesday 10 June on ‘Delivering value with location data’.
Startups in Bristol and the South West are invited to attend the event to find out what location data is and why it’s useful to solve industry challenges.
Geovation is an Ordnance Survey initiative in association with HM Land Registry which connects industry challenges with startup solutions through the innovative use of location data.
As a long-standing Engine Shed partner since 2019, Geovation has supported a number of Bristol startups who are using location or property data via its community, alongside hosting events and workshops at Engine Shed.
One of the companies to have benefitted from Geovation’s help is South West’s DronePrep, a platform that connects drone pilots with landowners to support management of their land. DronePrep recently received further investment by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs/Natural England towards expanding their capability in low-level airspace.
A Bristol-based company which has made use of the partnership is Atmo, who provides air quality monitoring for heavy industry.
Geovation Business and Innovation Lead Isabelle Chatel de Brancion said: “We are honoured to collaborate with Engine Shed and to have the opportunity to extend the reach and impact of location data.”
Thanks to our partnership with Geovation, Engine Shed’s members and partners can join the Geovation community for free and enjoy benefits including:
