Monday 10 October
Health-Tech Products – Innovation to Implementation – 12pm @ Engine Shed
A panel and discussion session on the challenges of developing health-tech products from startups, investors and supporters of the region’s exciting health tech cluster.
Tuesday 11 October
Bristol & Bath Cyber Conference – all day @ Watershed
The region’s largest cyber collective, with workshops, hackathons, panel debates and 15+ industry leading speakers, designed to support those working in the industry and celebrate the most innovative cyber start-ups. There is a cost to this one, but student tickets are available for £5!
Ada Lovelace: Inspiring girls and women in STEM – 4pm @ Engine Shed
Discussion and networking with a group of inspiring women who have successfully navigated diverse careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Teachers, parents and accompanied children will be inspired…

How can we retain talent in the South West? – 8.30am @ Bristol Old Vic
Grandees of the regional tech scene Ghyston are hosting a breakfast session on how we can work together to strengthen our talent pipeline through retention rather than endless recruitment! Having seen the Ghyston team pick up many “best place to work” awards over the years, we’re expecting a positive approach and some great discussions.

FinTech West Conference – 9am – 4.30pm @ TLT, Redcliff Street
An incredible programme of all things fintech in the region, including startups insights, major industry trends, technical advice, regulation and plenty of opportunities to engage and network.
Get Up, Startup! – from 6pm @ Engine Shed
Very much at the sillier end of the week’s proceedings, SETsquared Bristol, Engine Shed and the NatWest Entrepreneur Accelerator are hosting an evening of lighting pitches, karaoke and a few other activities for startups, all guided by the ‘GetUp Startup Wheel of fortune’.
Friday 14 October
People, Place, Tech and beyond: Innovation in communities and cities – 12pm @ Future Space:
Bristol Innovators Group are known for their engaging and inclusive “open-innovation” approach to tackling big issues in a collaborative way – for this session you’ll be joining a diverse group to take on “making change happen in neighbourhoods, communities and cities”. We’d also definitely recommend asking for a tour of the awesome Future Space innovation centre while you are there!
