UKBAA Angel Hub

The Bristol Angel Hub is a collaboration with UKBAA to bring the angel community together and create a space for discussion and learning specific to angel investment.

Engine Shed and the The UK Business Angels Association (“UKBAA”) have partnered to create one of the first regional Angel Hubs – a space where UKBAA members can meet each other and receive training. The Angel Hub is only available to members of the UKBAA.

Why Join?

By becoming a member of the Angel Hub, individuals will join a select community of investors committed to sharing good practice and invigorating the local investment ecosystem.

Members of the Angel Hub at the Engine Shed benefit from:

  • Access to co-working facilities.
  • Training and development opportunities for new and experienced angel investors.
  • Opportunities to attend pitch presentations.
  • Automatic invitation to our Quarterly Investment Briefing events (see below).

By joining, investors will also be able to support and add their expertise to the growing innovation community in the Bristol and Bath region by supporting fireside chats, mentoring and investing in local start-ups.

Who can apply to join the Hub?

To apply to join the Angel Hub you will need to be, or become, a member of the UKBAA.

  • Angel investors.
  • New and would-be angels.

Engine Shed Quarterly Investment Briefing

In November 2017, Engine Shed launched a new Quarterly Investment Briefing – a regular event to bring the investment community in the West of England together and to:

  • Share good practice
  • Build awareness of the investment opportunities
  • Explore investment trends in the region and nationally/globally

If you are an active investor, or would like to be one in the next 6 months, please join the Quarterly Investment Briefing mailing list here.

If you are a founder of a start-up or scale-up company, and you are raising investment or would like to connect with investors, we welcome your one page proposition summary, and clear investment ask – please share it via email with Briony and we’ll circulate it to our investor community at the next available opportunity (this currently happens quarterly). We also encourage you to attend the different pitch events that are happening in the region. Take a look at TechSPARK events listing and Engine Shed events page to find the next one.
